FABRIEKA is where textile science meets imagination, industry meets research, and materials become possibilities.

Built from more than two decades of experience across textile engineering, advanced materials, research, product development, and industrial innovation, FABRIEKA is a platform for exploring the ideas that are shaping the next generation of textiles.

My journey has taken me from textile engineering and doctoral research in Advanced Textile Materials to research and innovation laboratories, international R&D environments, and the development of technologies that have moved beyond the laboratory into real-world applications. Along the way, I have worked on areas ranging from auxetic and functional textiles to healthcare textiles, smart materials, protective textiles, sustainable materials, and performance fabrics.

Some of this work has resulted in patents and peer-reviewed research, but FABRIEKA is not intended to be a catalogue of achievements. It is a place to think aloud about textiles—to question conventional approaches, examine emerging technologies, and connect scientific possibilities with practical industrial needs.

Here, I write about the things that fascinate me:

Why does a fabric behave the way it does?
Can a fibre do more than simply provide strength, softness, or comfort?
Can structure itself become a technology?
What happens when textile engineering meets healthcare, sustainability, electronics, architecture, or intelligent manufacturing?
And perhaps most importantly—how do we turn a promising material or research idea into something that people can actually use?
