FABRIEKA is a space for textile thinking.

After more than two decades working across textile engineering, research, advanced materials, product development, and industrial innovation, I wanted to create a place where technical knowledge could move beyond laboratories, academic papers, and conference presentations—and become part of a wider conversation.

That is what FABRIEKA is about.

More Than Fabric

Textiles are often taken for granted.

We wear them. We sleep in them. We use them in healthcare, transportation, construction, protection, sports, electronics, and countless other applications.

But behind every textile is a fascinating combination of science, engineering, structure, chemistry, processing, design, and human creativity.

A fabric is never just a fabric.

Its performance can be engineered at the level of the fibre, polymer, yarn, structure, surface, finishing chemistry, or manufacturing process. Sometimes, changing something almost invisible can completely change what a textile can do.

That is the world FABRIEKA intends to explore.

From Research to Reality

My own work has included research into advanced textile structures and materials, including auxetic textiles, healthcare textiles, smart and functional fabrics, protective materials, and sustainable textile technologies. Some of these explorations have resulted in publications and patented technologies.

But the most interesting part has never been the publication or the patent itself.

It is the question that comes after it:

What can we do with it?

Can it solve a real problem?
Can it be manufactured?
Can it be scaled?
Can it create value?
Can it make a product better—or create a product that did not exist before?
